In the Spotlight: My Sportal Fight Club Appearance

Shortly after earning my WBC ranking at 25th in the super-welterweight division, I sat down with Sportal Fight Club to share my vision for the future — from training camps in Uzbekistan to world championship ambitions.

In the Spotlight: My Sportal Fight Club Appearance

A few days after earning my WBC ranking at 25th place in the super-welterweight division, I had the pleasure of sitting down with Sportal Fight Club to talk about everything — where I've been, where I'm headed, and the vision that drives me every single day.

The Reality of Training in Bulgaria

One of the topics we discussed openly was the challenge of finding quality sparring partners here in Bulgaria. The truth is — we lack the depth of talent in my weight class that you'd find in the major boxing nations. That's not a criticism, it's simply the reality, and it's something I've had to adapt to throughout my career. It's why I've always sought out opportunities to train abroad, to test myself against the very best.

Uzbekistan: A Boxing Powerhouse

That's exactly why I'm planning a two-week training camp with the Uzbekistan national team. Uzbekistan has become one of the dominant forces in world boxing, producing hundreds of elite fighters in my weight category alone. Training alongside them will push me to another level — the intensity, the technical skill, the sheer volume of quality rounds you can get there is unmatched. I'll be visiting multiple boxing facilities and soaking up everything I can from their system.

Setting My Sights Higher

We also talked about the road ahead. I'm targeting two to three fights this year, all at championship distance — 10 to 12 rounds. At this stage of my career, every fight needs to be meaningful, every opponent needs to push me closer to where I want to be.

A Potential Clash with Tim Tszyu

One name that came up during the conversation was Tim Tszyu — the former WBC world champion from Australia. He's a fighter I respect deeply, and he represents exactly the calibre of opponent I need to face at this point. That's a potential matchup we're actively exploring, and one that excites me greatly. Fights like these are what I've been working toward my entire career.

Carrying the Torch for Bulgarian Boxing

Perhaps the moment that meant the most to me during the interview was when I spoke about the legacy of Bulgarian boxing. I said it with full conviction: I believe Kubrat Pulev can comfortably hand the baton to me. That's not arrogance — it's belief born from years of sacrifice, discipline, and unwavering commitment to this sport. Bulgaria deserves a world champion, and I'm ready to carry that responsibility.

What's Next

The Sportal Fight Club appearance was a reminder of how far I've come — and how much further I still have to go. Every conversation like this fuels my fire. The rankings, the training camps, the potential opponents — they're all pieces of a much bigger puzzle. And I'm putting it together, one fight at a time.

The world championship isn't just a dream anymore. It's a plan.
