Petar Draganov
Born in the beautiful seaside town of Sozopol, Petar Draganov's boxing journey is one of determination, discipline, and transformation. What began as a childhood passion has grown into a professional career fuelled by hard work, resilience, and a deep understanding of the sport.
His first steps were taken at Pobeda Boxing Club in Burgas, where he was coached by Radoslav Suslekov — the man who introduced him to the fundamentals of boxing and ignited his lifelong passion for the sport. Petar quickly rose through the youth ranks, earning a silver medal at the Bulgarian Youth National Championship in 2011, followed by a second-place finish at Serbia's "Golden Glove" tournament and a national title in Haskovo in 2012.
A few years later, he was selected for the Bulgarian National Team and represented the country at the World Boxing Championships in Armenia. Around this time, Petar moved to Sofia to study at the National Sports Academy, where he earned an MSc in Sports Science, balancing academic achievement with high-level athletic performance. Under the guidance of Olympic boxing coach Borislav Bojkov, he continued competing in international events and national tournaments, further sharpening his skills.
A serious hand injury temporarily halted his career, but Petar made a powerful comeback, rising to national prominence by dominating the National Boxing League, where he went unbeaten across three high-stakes semi-professional bouts. His victories against top-tier opponents earned him the title of Absolute Champion of Bulgaria in the 69kg division — a remarkable feat he would later repeat, confirming his dominance in the category.
During this time, he was also selected to represent Bulgaria at a prestigious international boxing gala in Austria, sharing the spotlight with renowned fighters such as Tervel Pulev.
In 2022, Petar made his professional debut, signing with Alekseev Boxing Promotions. At the time, he was coached by Borislav Boyadzhiev. That same year, he began building his pro record with a series of dominant wins:
- • Feb 2022 – Win vs Radoslav Mitev (points)

- • Jul 2022 – Win vs Ivan Nikolov (KO)
- • Sep 2022 – Win vs Theodoros Vrakas (TKO)
- • Dec 2022 – Win vs Nikola Stoyanov (TKO)
In 2023, Petar made a pivotal move in his professional journey: he joined Revolution Boxing Promotions and began working closely with head coach Krum Petrov. Under this new team, Petar continued his unbeaten streak:
