A Battle by the Sea: Final Touches Ahead of My Fight with Rodrigo Coria

My preparation for the upcoming fight against Rodrigo Coria is different – but in the best possible way. I'm making the most of being by the sea, adding unique training elements that help me both physically and mentally.

A Battle by the Sea: Final Touches Ahead of My Fight with Rodrigo Coria

My preparation for the fight with Rodrigo Coria is different – but in the best possible way. I've made full use of being by the sea, incorporating rowing, swimming, and running on dry sand into my training program – elements that help me not only physically but also mentally prepare for the big night.

My nutrition is under control as well, avoiding all processed and fast foods. I focus on carbohydrates and fish, which give me the energy and endurance I need. And when it comes time to recover – there's nothing more effective than my favourite ice bath, which quite literally resets my body.

I feel healthy, strong, and injury-free. I'm ready to step into the ring and get the entire stadium on its feet with a decisive and dominant victory.

I'm especially happy that this time, the event will take place at the city stadium. Everywhere I go in town, I feel the support of my fellow citizens – people stop me in the street, wish me luck, send me messages. That kind of energy fuels me and reminds me why I do all of this.

Rodrigo Damian Coria brings a wealth of experience – 20 professional fights with a record of 14 wins and 6 losses. That stat line tells the story of a battle-hardened fighter who has faced quality opponents throughout his career. He's a seasoned competitor who knows how to battle through adversity. Coria possesses the kind of boxing IQ that can only be developed over years in the professional ranks.

Training by the sea has given me a completely different perspective on preparation. Running on sand challenges your balance and builds incredible leg strength. Rowing develops core power, which translates directly into punching strength. Swimming keeps my cardiovascular system sharp, while being easy on the joints. It's like having a natural fitness centre right outside my door.

The mental aspect of training by the sea can't be underestimated. There's something about the rhythm of the waves, the salty air, the endless horizon that brings clarity to my mind. When I'm there in the early morning, watching the sunrise over the Black Sea, I can clearly visualise how the fight will unfold.

My team has been incredible throughout this entire training camp. We've fine-tuned every aspect of the game plan for Coria. We know his strengths, we've studied his tendencies, and we're prepared for every scenario. But more than that – we're ready to impose our will in this fight from the opening bell.

The support from Sozopol has been overwhelming. This is no longer just my fight – it has become a fight for the town. Kids stop me for photos, local businesses have hung posters, and I feel how the whole community is coming together around this moment. That kind of energy simply can't be recreated anywhere else.

Every ice bath session, every early morning run, every technical drill has been building toward this. I've never felt more prepared, more focused, or more confident in my abilities. The physical preparation is complete, but the mental edge that comes from fighting at home, in front of people who've watched you grow up – that's something truly special.

The WBC CISBB belt will stay in Sozopol. Not just because I want it — but because I'm ready to fight for it. All the way.
